Teaching and More:
Started in the Middle, now I'm Here
Welcome to my website! Teaching and More is website/blog of my journey and experiences that started in middle school and include my move to high school and beyond. Here you can find a little about me, details about teaching, the ups and downs, lesson ideas, technology tips, and classroom management techniques.
Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Hello, My name is Faith Miller. I started teaching in 2013. I have learned so much along the way. I have taught sixth graders, seventh graders, eighth graders, tenth graders (some eleventh and twelfth graders sprinkled in), and juniors/seniors in college. I have earned a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Instructional Technology. Education and instructional design are my passions! More of my experience includes designing and leading professional development and coaching a robotics club. I have taught science, gateway to engineering, flight and space, math methods for elementary teachers, science methods for elementary teachers, and science methods for middle school teachers. The past four years I have gained so much experience teaching courses online. These courses include English to ESL students in China, and various other courses including science, organization, and even a five day Origami Camp. Sometimes I wonder how I was able to do all that in just eight years, other times I think about what else I could have done. Along with teaching, I am a mom and wife. I have two children who are my own and three step children who I love as my own, along with 4 grandchildren.
I am currently honing my skills as an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer as a part of the Applied Instructional Design Academy. I like to make a little extra cash on the side by selling products on Teachers Pay Teachers and teaching online classes via the Outschool platform.
